Planning Arrangements in the Event of School Closure Due to Adverse Weather Conditions/Emergencies 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

I write to advise you of the emergency planning procedures for school closures as a result of adverse weather conditions/emergencies.

In the event of severe weather it may be necessary to close the school or individual classes. Information regarding closure will be published via the Bexley Schools Opencheck website: OpenCheck Link

Please note the Opencheck website will only be updated and used for unexpected/unplanned closures.

We will also use our normal method of contacting parents/carers via ‘ParentMail’ to keep you up to date with closures. This will either be by mobile phone text message (Pupil Asset) or email to the email address you have provided.

In the case of snow, as we like to go outdoors to play together, please ensure that your child brings a change of footwear into school so that they are able to wear their school shoes inside the building. Could we also ask you to remind your child/ren to take extra care with road safety in the winter months.
